Recovery

December 2019 recovery

It's Friday the 13th and very close to a full moon - today also marks the third anniversary from when I had my accident. Therapy continues three days a week. We are making progress in the pool and I can feel my legs getting stronger each session.

I had one really awesome breakthrough! After we finished walking using the Walker they removed it and I was able to stand up on my own bearing all the weight through my legs which was a first.

I have learned a number of things these past three years.

1. Love > hate
2. Thinking positive > most medicines
3. Friendship > money
4. Failure > not trying at all
5. Living in the moment > worrying about the past or future

This journey has been incredibly humbling and has taught me what is important in life and what it means to be alive.

I am thankful to everyone who has supported me along the way and picked me up when I was down. You have given me so much love and I hope the next three years are just as fulfilling as these past three.

I will continue to post updates on my recovery and hope you will continue alongside me  on this journey.
